Pricing Tiers – How They Work and What You Need to Know

edrone’s pricing tiers are billing levels based on the size of your email contact database. The larger your base, the higher your pricing tier (also referred to as "purchased space"). Your monthly invoice is calculated based on the highest pricing tier reached during your cooperation with edrone.

What does this mean in practice? It means you can grow your contact base freely without worrying that every new subscriber will immediately increase your invoice. It’s a structure designed to give your eCommerce business room to grow and flexibility.

What happens when you reduce your contact base?

Sometimes it's necessary to clean up your contact list – for example, by removing inactive or non-consenting users. This is a good practice, but it's important to understand how it affects your pricing tier and any applicable discounts.

  • If you reduce your contact base but do NOT request a tier downgrade, nothing changes – your invoice and any existing discount remain the same.

  • If you reduce your contact base and request to lower your pricing tier, the previously granted discount will be automatically removed. This is because the discount is directly linked to the size of your database: the larger the database, the higher the discount. When the base gets smaller, the discount no longer applies.

In practice, this can mean that even with fewer contacts, you may end up paying more – simply due to losing your discount.

Can I keep the discount with a smaller base?

In some specific cases, it is possible to create a new customized pricing offer. To do this, you’ll need to contact our Customer Support team, who will review your case. If appropriate, a new contract will be prepared with updated conditions – including, if applicable, a new discount.

Note: these cases are reviewed individually and do not guarantee that previous terms will be maintained.

Summary:

  • Your pricing tier is based on the highest contact count reached.

  • Deleting contacts does not automatically change your pricing or discount.

  • Downgrading the tier = losing your current discount.

If needed, contact Customer Support to discuss next steps.
