Sometimes, when creating an email, we need to copy certain parts – or even the entire email – to use elsewhere.
Both of these situations are easily achieved using our Drag 'n' Drop editor. Let's go over each of them!
Copying a specific element
While creating an email using the Drag'n'Drop editor, click on the element or block you would like to copy.
Two buttons will appear on the lower right corner of the element: a waste basket icon (to delete the element) and the duplicate button.
By clicking on the duplicate button, a copy of the element will be inserted below the original. This can then be edited and moved anywhere within the creation.
NOTE: This only works for copying elements or blocks within the same message. To copy elements from one email to another, you will need to copy the entire message and paste it elsewhere, and then delete the undesired parts. Keep reading to learn how to do this.
Copying an entire email
This procedure might be used when you have a message from one engagement scenario that you would like to adapt for another scenario or even a specific element from one email that you would like to use in another email.
This procedure also works for copying emails between different edrone Workspaces and is also particularly useful for emails in multiple languages since they are usually identical except for the text content.
While creating an email using the Drag'n'Drop editor, click the Copy button located on the left right corner, right under the subject line.
Then, go to where you want to paste the copied message, and click the Paste button.
There you go! Now you can keep working as if you had created the whole thing from scratch ;)
