Already built an email design you love and want to reuse it somewhere else? You don't have to start from scratch. You can copy the design from an existing newsletter or automation and paste it into a new template.
Step 1: Copy the design
Open the newsletter or automation that has the design you want to reuse, and go into its editor.
Look at the top-left corner of the canvas. You'll see three small icons with no text labels (hover over them to see a tooltip): a history/undo icon, a Copy design icon, and a Paste icon.
⚠️ Important: these are icon-only buttons now. If you're looking for text buttons labeled "Copy" or "Paste" at the top of the editor, they've been replaced by these icons in the canvas corner.
Click the Copy design icon. This copies the full design of the editor you're currently in, so you can paste it into a different newsletter or automation.
Step 2: Start a new design to paste into
Go to create a new campaign. edrone will first show you an AI email campaign screen, where you describe your goal and the AI generates an email for you.
If you want to use the classic manual flow instead, click the link below the AI screen: "Prefer the old manual method? Start from scratch."
This takes you to the Newsletter Templates screen, with three tabs:
Ready for you — ready-made suggestions
Sent before — your previously sent campaigns
Saved templates — your own saved designs, organized by category: My templates, All, Automations, Newsletter subscription, Holidays & celebrations, Seasons, Others
Open the template (or blank design) you want to paste your copied design into.
Step 3: Paste and save
Once you're inside the editor, click the Paste icon in the top-left corner of the canvas. Your copied design will appear, ready for you to adjust.
Feel free to fine-tune it using the content blocks on the right side of the editor — for example, add a Banner, a Coupon, or any other block you need.
When you're happy with the result, click Save at the top right of the editor to keep it as your own template for future use.
📌 Tip: the top-right corner of the editor also has "Tracking Settings", "Send test", and a highlighted "Newsletter summary" button — that's your next step once your design is ready to go out.
