How the Post-Purchase scenario works

On what event is the After Sale scenario based?

Written by Klaudia Lewandowska

The Post-Purchase scenario is triggered the moment a Client completes a purchase and the matching event reaches edrone.

For each order price range, you can set up a sequence of up to 4 messages. The delay for the first message is counted from the moment of purchase. Every message after that has its own delay, counted from the previous message in the sequence — not from the purchase. This spreads your messages out naturally: a thank-you right after the purchase, product tips the next day, and a complementary offer a week later, for example.

Product information reaches edrone through the Order event, sent via the integration with your store. This event carries data such as: product ID (product_ids), product name, product URL, product image URL, and more.

This data is stored in edrone and used to fill in dynamic content blocks in your messages — so every Client sees the products they actually bought.
