If it's all about getting Clients to buy, our job is done the moment they check out, right?
Not quite.
Growing sales is naturally our top goal, but the relationship with your Clients matters just as much. Recommending products or offering a special discount are great ways to keep that relationship going. But what happens after the purchase? We don't leave the Client on their own — we keep taking care of them, because a happy Client is a Client who comes back!
With the Post-Purchase scenario, you can send automatic messages triggered right after a Client places an order. It's the perfect moment to say thank you, offer a discount coupon for their next purchase, or suggest products they might like.
📌 Tip: this scenario can't send order status updates — shipment tracking and delivery updates aren't supported here.
How to set up the Post-Purchase scenario
Log in to Mission Control and go to AUTOMATIONS > READY FLOWS > POST-PURCHASE.
Step 1: Set price ranges and message sequence
The Post-Purchase scenario works with order price ranges — you can build a separate message sequence for each range of order value. For each range, you can configure up to 4 messages, each with its own delay.
Set the price range using "From X to Y" — for example, orders from $0 to $50 get one sequence, and orders above $50 get another.
Set the delay for the first message: choose "We don't wait" to send it right after the purchase, or "After the purchase" and enter how much time should pass since the order was placed.
Click "+ Add message" to add another message to the same range (up to 4). Important: the delay for every message after the first counts from the previous message in the sequence, not from the purchase.
This lets you build a full sequence — for example, a thank-you message, then product tips, then a complementary offer — tailored to the order's value.
📌 Tip: you no longer need Custom Flow to handle more than one price threshold — the Post-Purchase Ready Flow now does it natively.
In this step you can also turn on Smart Subject Line by clicking Settings — it automatically picks the best-performing subject line for each recipient.
Step 2: Edit your messages
Click a message thumbnail to edit it. In the panel on the right, set the subject and subheading.
Tip: personalize the UTM Campaign Name for each message — it'll be much easier to find it later in your Google Analytics reports.
In the side panel, click Edit Design to design your message with our Drag 'n' Drop Editor.
You can add a discount coupon to each message — choose Static (same code for everyone) or Dynamic (a unique code per Client; we recommend this option). Upload a separate CSV file with coupon codes for each message, select the column that holds the codes, and confirm.
Step 3: Review and launch
Send a test message, check that everything looks right, and click Launch.
Step 4: Reports
In the Reports section, you'll find key metrics: Revenue, Sent, Opened, Clicked, Ordered, Unsubscribed, and CTR. You can filter results by date and by message. You'll also find a Messages and revenue over time chart, showing sent messages and generated revenue with daily, weekly, or monthly totals.
