A product feed is an XML file with a specific structure, containing all the most important information about your products which can be sent e.g. to edrone, such as:

  • Product name

  • Product URL

  • Product price

  • Availability

  • Category

  • Images

Benefits of having a product feed

  • Always up-to-date information on product availability

Before each message is sent from an automation scenario, e.g. the Abandoned Carts scenario, the system queries the feed for the availability of the products to be sent in the message. This ensures that your customers only receive products that are available in the shop in the message.

  • Always up-to-date regular and/or promotional prices

  • Possibility of adding products to e-mail creations directly from the product feed.

Functions/solutions that require an up-to-date, active product feed

  • Marketing Machine recommendation frames

  • Mobile Search Widget, i.e. search via natural language (AVA)

  • Completion of integration with product data such as: URLs to products, images, prices, titles, product categories

The product feed is essential for the Universal Integration to work properly.

  • Cross-selling scenario and Custom Flows

Q&A

I am a new customer, can I work without a product feed?

Yes, the system can work without a product feed and we will base on data from events sent directly from the store. However, then you will not be able to take full advantage of all the available functionality of the system: recommendation frames, categories in custom flows, expanded categories in cross-selling, information about product availability, etc.
