1. What is the WhatsApp integration with edrone?

The WhatsApp integration with edrone allows your store to send messages directly via WhatsApp using the edrone platform. With it, you can send automated notifications, WhatsApp campaigns, and chat with customers through edrone’s inbox — all in one place.

2. How do I integrate WhatsApp with edrone?

The integration is done directly in the edrone panel by following these steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > WhatsApp

  2. Click Integrate WhatsApp

  3. Connect your Meta (Facebook Business) account

  4. Select the WhatsApp Business account

  5. Enter a valid phone number or use a number provided by Meta

  6. Meta provides only 2 numbers per Facebook Business account

  7. Verify the number via SMS or phone call

Important:

  • The number must not have been previously used with WhatsApp

  • Only one number can be integrated per account

  • It is not allowed to use this number in the WhatsApp app

  • Two-factor authentication must be enabled in Meta Business

3. How can I talk to customers via WhatsApp using edrone?

After the integration, you can communicate with your customers in different ways:

  • Sending WhatsApp campaigns to your contact base or specific segments

  • Replying to messages directly through the edrone inbox

  • Using automations and custom flows

The customer must have a registered phone number and must have given explicit consent (with subscribed status) to receive WhatsApp messages.

4. What is a WhatsApp Campaign in edrone?

A WhatsApp Campaign is a feature that allows you to send mass campaigns via WhatsApp. With it, you can:

  • Segment your contact base

  • Personalize messages

  • Add call-to-action buttons (e.g., visit website or contact the store)

  • Include an unsubscribe option

5. How can I add images to a message?

To add an image to your WhatsApp message:

  1. Go to Campaigns > WhatsApp

  2. Create a new campaign

  3. Enable the Header

  4. Choose the Image option

  5. Upload the desired image

This makes the campaign more attractive and visual.

6. What are WhatsApp message templates?

Templates are pre-defined messages that must be approved by WhatsApp (Meta). They are mainly used to:

  • Start conversations

  • Send messages outside the 24-hour window

  • Trigger automated notifications

Templates can be created and managed within edrone.

For WhatsApp campaigns, after creation, editing, and submission, the message will go through WhatsApp (Meta) approval.

7. How do WhatsApp message sending windows work?

There are two main types of message sending:

  • 24-hour window: Opened when the customer replies to a message. During this period, messages are free of charge.

  • Template messages: Used outside the 24-hour window and charged according to the contracted plan.

8. How much does it cost to use WhatsApp on edrone?

WhatsApp usage works through message packages:

  • Prices vary according to the contracted volume

  • Larger packages have a lower cost per message

  • Messages within the 24-hour window are free of charge

  • To check if a message is within the 24-hour window, verify if the conversation is OPEN in the edrone inbox

  • Credits may have limited validity depending on the contract

9. How can I purchase WhatsApp messages on edrone?

You can purchase message packages in several ways within edrone:

  • Through the WhatsApp button located in the top-right corner of the screen

  • Within the WhatsApp campaign settings, click Update Package

  • After selecting the ideal package size for your store, confirm by clicking Update Package

Step-by-step guide:

10. Are there restrictions on commercial use of WhatsApp?

Yes. WhatsApp has strict policies regarding the types of products and services that can be promoted. Some examples of prohibited categories include:

  • Weapons and ammunition

  • Tobacco and drugs

  • Gambling

  • Illegal or fraudulent services

Failure to comply with these rules may result in account suspension.

11. What is the WhatsApp Profile?

The WhatsApp Profile is the area where you can configure the public information of your channel, such as:

  • Company name

  • Description

  • Logo

  • Address

Keeping this profile up to date increases customer trust.

12. Can I use WhatsApp in edrone automations?

Yes. WhatsApp can be used in both Ready-made Flows and Custom Flows. Simply add the WhatsApp channel to the desired flow, configure the message, and activate the automation.

13. How does receiving and replying to customer messages work?

When a customer replies to a message:

  • The conversation appears in the edrone inbox

  • You can reply directly from there

  • From the customer’s reply, the 24-hour window for free message sending opens

14. Can I use dynamic elements in messages?

No. WhatsApp does not allow sending messages with dynamic emails, first names, last names, phone numbers, or coupons. This is because templates must be approved by WhatsApp (Meta), and the message content must be exactly the same for all recipients
