Connect your Meta product catalog to the WhatsApp integration and send messages with products in templates: your entire catalog, a product list, or a single product.
The WhatsApp Product Catalog allows you to display products from your store directly in the chat. edrone creates a dedicated catalog in your Meta Business account, adds your store products to it, and updates it every time the product feed runs.
Before you start
You need to have the WhatsApp integration completed. The Product Catalog is an additional step and does not replace the integration.
How to connect the catalog
Go to Integrations → WhatsApp and open the Product Catalogs section. Then:
Click Grant catalog access and select your business in the Meta window that opens.
Click Create catalog from my products. edrone will create the catalog and add your products.
Click Connect catalog in WhatsApp Manager. A new tab will open.
In WhatsApp Manager, go to the Catalog tab and click Connect catalog.
Return to the edrone tab. The status will update automatically. You do not need to refresh the page.
⚠️ Important: Meta requires catalog connection and disconnection to be performed directly in WhatsApp Manager. edrone cannot perform these actions through the API. This is a Meta limitation, not an edrone limitation.
Managing the catalog
Once connected, the catalog will appear in the Product Catalogs table, together with its name, catalog ID, and status. From there, you can:
Change the catalog name.
Disconnect it from your WhatsApp Business account.
Delete it. This option becomes available only after the catalog has been disconnected.
The catalog is automatically updated every time the product feed runs. If you want to update it immediately, click Sync products.
You will see a summary showing how many products were sent and how many were skipped because of a missing price, image, or link.
📌 Tip: Don't have any products synchronized yet? No problem. edrone will still create the catalog, initially empty, and populate it as soon as the products are synchronized, either manually or automatically.
Using the catalog in templates
Once the catalog is connected, the Catalog products option will appear in the message editor with three options:
Catalog — a single button that opens your entire store in WhatsApp. Ideal for sales, promotions, or launching a new collection.
Product list — up to 30 products that customers can browse and add to their cart directly in the chat. Ideal for a short selection, such as bestsellers, a specific category, or gift ideas.
Single product — one product card with an image, name, and price. Ideal for reminding customers about a product they previously viewed or left behind.
There is also a separate Products personalized for the recipient option.
Instead of selecting fixed products, each recipient will see products based on their own customer journey, such as products they have previously viewed.
If a recipient does not have any personalized products available, they will see the products selected manually below.
👉 The section title is generated automatically in the language of your store.
📌 Tip: Haven't connected a catalog yet? You don't need to leave the message editor. The same options, Create catalog from my products and Grant catalog access, are also available directly in the editor as shortcuts.
