This article will help you avoid rejections, account limitations, and message blocks by Meta.

Following these guidelines is essential to ensure the correct functioning of WhatsApp integrated with edrone.

Best Practices for the Company Name in WhatsApp Business

The display name is what appears to customers on WhatsApp, and it must be approved by Meta before it is released.

Official Meta rules:

  • Represent a company, brand, product, service, or department.

  • Match the publicly used name (website, social media, official documents).

  • Use correct capitalization (avoid ALL CAPS).

  • Contain at least 3 characters.

  • Not include emojis, symbols, slogans, URLs, or domains.

  • Not be overly generic (e.g., “Store”, “Services”).

  • Not be just a location (e.g., “Brazil”, “São Paulo”).

Examples of accepted names:

  • Cocoa and Aroma Chocolate Shop

  • Vision Prime

  • BellaFit

  • Positive House

  • TechWave Digital Solutions

Examples of names likely to be rejected:

  • Boreal Coffee Promotions

  • World Pet – Delivery 24h

  • worldpet.com.br

  • World Pet WhatsApp

Important:

Before requesting approval, make sure the company name, logo, and information are consistent across your website, social channels, and Facebook Business Manager. Inconsistencies are a common cause of rejections.

Payment Method in Meta Business Manager

Keeping a valid and active payment method is mandatory for using the WhatsApp Business API and messaging campaigns.

The payment method is used for:

  • WhatsApp Business API usage

  • Conversation-Based Pricing

  • Ads with a WhatsApp button

  • Messaging campaigns

Best practices:

  • Use a card in your company’s name.

  • Prefer international cards from established banks.

  • Avoid prepaid cards.

  • Keep only one active payment method.

  • Ensure the card has available credit.

  • Enable bank notifications for payment authorizations.

Note:

When integrating with edrone (via Vonage), the correct payment method may be detected automatically. Divergent payment methods can cause errors.

Status of the WhatsApp Business Account

During setup, your account may show different statuses in Business Manager:

  • Pending / Under review – Under Meta review.

  • Approved – Released for use.

  • Rejected – Requires adjustments.

  • Limited Access – Temporarily restricted.

What Meta evaluates:

  • Company name and category

  • Compliance with Meta policies

  • Active institutional website

  • Business Manager history

Recommendations:

  • Ensure your website is functional and contains valid contact information.

  • Choose a category aligned with your service.

  • Submit clear, consistent documents.

  • Avoid beginning verification when your site is under maintenance.

Typical review time: 1–5 days, sometimes longer if there are inconsistencies.

Best Practices to Avoid Message Blocks

WhatsApp restricts marketing messages to protect user experience and reduce spam.

Key rules:

  • Only one active marketing conversation per user at a time.

  • The conversation expires if no reply is received within 24 hours.

  • When the customer replies, a new 24-hour session opens.

To prevent message blocks:

  • Avoid sending multiple consecutive messages to the same contact.

  • Consolidate information into a single send.

  • Encourage customer replies.

  • Use the edrone Inbox to monitor conversation statuses.

Attempting to send messages outside these rules may result in temporary message blocks.
