1. Navigate to the Clients → Import tab:

2. Click on Import Contacts

Steps for importing contacts that have both an email address and a phone number:

In the first step, select file to upload and choose the file you want to import.

The file should contain a column with both an email address and a phone number.

In the next step, the system will automatically map the columns in the file, or you can do it manually.

Ensure correct subscription status settings for both SMS and Email. SMS newsletters can only be sent to clients with a subscribed status.

In the 3. step, you can optionally add an appropriate tag to the imported contacts.

In the last step, choose the appropriate settings and import the file.

If you did not include a subscription status column in the file, at this step you can select the appropriate status for all three channels: Email, SMS, WhatsApp. To do this, choose the option Set manually for the entire import and select the appropriate statuses:

Remember to set the correct subscription statuses for both SMS and Email. Are you adding numbers from orders but do not have marketing consents? Set the status to Unknown. Select the Subscribed status only if the consumer has explicitly agreed to receive marketing content.

If you want to add phone numbers only without updating subscription statuses, you can choose the Do not update option (for new customers not existing in the database, the subscription status will be set to Unknown):

If you have any issues setting the appropriate subscription statuses, contact us at hello@edrone.me or via chat.

Now confirm the settings and start the import:

In our system, a phone number can only be assigned to one email address. If your file contains duplicate phone numbers, the number will be assigned to the email address that appears first.

Steps for importing contacts that only have a phone number:

When importing new contacts that contain only a phone number, prepare the appropriate file and add it to the system in the first step:

In the next step, the system will automatically map the columns, or you can do it manually.

You can also import WhatsApp subscription statuses. In this case, simply prepare an additional column in the file and label it accordingly in step 3. Example below.

The next step is optional, where you can assign appropriate tags.

If you did not include a subscription status column in the file, at this step you can select the appropriate status for the SMS and WhatsApp channels. To do this, choose Set manually for the entire import and select the appropriate statuses:

Then confirm the settings and start the import:
