MCP Connector: talk to your edrone data in Claude & ChatGPT

Connect edrone to Claude or ChatGPT and ask questions about your store in plain language — read-only, secure, and set up in about 2 minutes.

Written by Erico Azevedo

The MCP Connector is a new way to interact with your edrone data using natural language inside Claude (Anthropic) and ChatGPT (OpenAI). Instead of navigating dashboards, filters, and reports, you simply ask a question — and get an instant, data-driven answer straight from your edrone account.

What is the MCP Connector?

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. The connector acts as a secure bridge between edrone and AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT. Once connected, your assistant can read your store data in read-only mode and answer questions such as:

  • “Which products sold best last month?”

  • “How did my latest newsletter perform?”

  • “Which customer segment is most likely to churn?”

  • “What are my top-performing automation flows?”

  • “How has my revenue evolved week over week?”

The assistant retrieves the relevant data directly from edrone and returns clear, structured insights — no exports, no spreadsheets, no digging through reports.

Why it matters

Marketing teams often spend more time looking for data than acting on it. With conversational access to your edrone account, you can:

  • Speed up decisions — get answers in seconds instead of building reports.

  • Reduce dependency on dashboards — ask questions in plain language.

  • Democratize data access — no advanced analytics skills required.

  • Act faster on opportunities — from product performance to campaign insights.

💡 Quick Win: Ask one question — “What were my top-selling products last month?” — and get a board-ready answer in seconds, with no report to build.

How to connect it

You activate the MCP Connector directly in your edrone panel. The whole setup takes about 2 minutes.

  1. Open the connector page: https://control.edrone.me/app/store/integrations/ai-connector — or go to Integrations → MCP in your panel.

  2. Choose your assistant, Claude or ChatGPT. Each one has its own step-by-step guide with screenshots (inside edrone MCP pannel).

  3. When prompted, copy the MCP server URL:

  4. Sign in with edrone via OAuth to authorize the connection — read-only and scoped to your tracker.

  5. Start asking questions in plain language.

📌 Tip: No API keys are required — there is nothing to copy, store, or manage manually.

What you can ask

Once connected, your assistant becomes a real-time analytics companion for your store. A few high-value examples:

Revenue & sales

  • What were my top-selling products last month?

  • Which channels drove the most revenue?

Email marketing

  • How did my last campaign perform?

  • What is my average open and click rate?

Customer behavior

  • Which segments are most engaged?

  • Which customers are at risk of churn?

Automation

  • Which automation flows generate the most revenue?

  • Where do users drop off in my lifecycle journeys?

Secure and read-only by design

Security and data integrity are built into this release. The MCP Connector is:

  • Read-only — the assistant cannot create, modify, or delete any data.

  • OAuth-based — secure sign-in handled directly by edrone.

  • Scoped — each user sees only their own tracker data.

  • Key-free — no API keys to store or manage.

⚠️ Important: Because access is strictly read-only, it is safe to enable even in production environments.

The MCP Connector is available now to all edrone clients. Connect your account, open Claude or ChatGPT, and start asking questions about your store — in plain language.
