Email marketing remains one of the most effective tools for communicating with customers. However, the key to success is the ability to grab the recipient's attention right from the message subject line. Learn about Dynamic Message Subject, a feature that will make your job easier!

How does it work?

Until now, when creating an email campaign in edrone, setting a subject line meant setting a static subject line - the same for all recipients of a given message. With the new feature, each email message can have a unique subject line, automatically tailored to the recipient and generated by AI!

Each recipient receives a unique message - subject lines vary depending on the recipient, making emails more engaging and relevant.

Risk and its mitigation - what is worth knowing about Dynamic Message Subject?

The introduction of a feature based on generative artificial intelligence is a step toward more advanced email marketing. However, as with any AI solution, there are some potential risks to consider.

Potential problems

  • Gender bias

Model may prefer male pronouns or fail to generate fully inclusive language.

  • Mixing of languages

Subjects may include words from different languages (e.g., English in a Polish sentence).

  • Grammatical and linguistic errors

Minor grammatical, spelling or stylistic errors are possible.

  • Incorrect identification of the product

The subject line may refer to the product in an inaccurate way, such as using the wrong description.

  • Inappropriate placement of discount codes

A model may place a discount code in the subject line, which may be inconsistent with the brand's intent.

  • Inaccuracies

It is possible to generate incorrect information, such as an incorrect discount value.

  • Problems with character encoding

Some characters (e.g. emoji) may not be displayed correctly on some systems.

  • Semantic incompatibility

The model may use words that are semantically unrelated to the product or category, such as inventing new words (neologisms).

  • Variable AI context

The model may generate information that is completely unrelated to the context due to a lack of relevant data in the learning process.

  • Sensitivity to input data

Slight differences in product names or content can result in significantly different message topics.

Note: This list is not exhaustive. These are only some of the identified bugs and new risks may emerge.

How does edrone minimize risks?

To minimize the above risks, we have implemented numerous mitigation mechanisms:

  • Using algorithms to reduce bias and language errors.

  • Testing the model on real data to identify and eliminate potential problems.

  • Monitoring the effectiveness and accuracy of generated themes.

Still, it is important to remember that no AI technology is free of limitations. All users should be aware of the possibility of rare instances of non-compliance with brand expectations.

  • There may be cases where the generated subject lines are not fully in line with brand expectations.

  • There is a risk that the topic content may not comply with applicable laws, ethical standards or cultural norms.

  • There may be publication of content that is inappropriate for a particular audience or may inconsistently represent the brand image.

You are fully and solely responsible for your decision to activate AI's automatic content generation function and for the consequences resulting from the publication of the generated message topics.
