Contacts Activation helps you turn unknown visitors into identified contacts, so your automations and newsletters can reach more people.
What is Contacts Activation?
A contact becomes “identified” when they open or click one of your emails. When this happens, edrone links their on-site activity to their contact profile. This means they can start receiving automations, and you learn more about who they are.
👉 The more identified contacts you have, the wider the reach of your automations and personalized newsletters.
How it works
On the Contacts Activation screen, you'll see four metrics that show you the health of your contact database:
Identified contacts growth — how much your identified contacts grew compared to the previous 30 days.
Revenue from activated contacts — the revenue generated by contacts who became identified.
Sending health — an indicator of how healthy your sending activity is, shown with a progress bar.
Safe to send a newsletter — tells you if it's currently safe to send a newsletter.
Identify your database for higher revenue
This block explains the rules edrone follows to help identify your contacts:
✔ Messages are sent to your entire database.
✔ Non-promotional messages are sent to contacts with an “unknown” status.
✔ Messages are sent regularly, at least every 30 days.
A simple diagram shows this process: the edrone logo connects to a contact icon, which shows either an already identified contact (name and email visible) or an unidentified customer (a generic icon with a question mark).
Identification sequence
The identification sequence is an automation that sends a non-promotional message to your entire database every 30 days. It's made up of several messages with themes related to privacy, security, and data policies — for example, messages about privacy policy updates or secure shopping. Each message has its own scheduled sending date.
The sequence can be Active or Inactive. If it's inactive, you'll see a Start button to turn it on. If it's active, you'll see a Report button to check how it's performing.
📌 Tip: You stay in full control of this feature. You can review it, activate it, or deactivate it at any time, based on your own strategy.
Where to find it
