To export your customer base from the Shopify platform, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your account on the Shopify platform.

2. Go to the Customers tab.

3. A list of your store's customers will be displayed.

If you want to export a database containing only some customers, check the boxes next to their names now. Whether you decide to do so or not, select Export in the next step.

4. A window will appear in front of you with export options to choose from.

In the Customers Selected section, select one of the following options:

  • All customers - if you want to export the database of all customers,

  • Current Page - if you want to export the database only with customers who are on the currently opened customer list page,

  • Selected - if you want to export the database with selected customers only (this option will appear only if in step 3 you have checked the checkboxes next to the names of selected customers).

5. In Fields Included section...

  • check Customers tags if you want to include tags in the export,

  • check Customer metafields if you want to include supported meta-fields in the export.

6. In File format section select...

CSV for Excel, Numbers, or other spreadsheet programs, and then click Export customers button.

7. The export has been done!

Remember that if you export up to 50 customers, then the CSV file is downloaded by your browser. If you export more than 50 customers, then the CSV file is emailed to you. If you aren't the store owner, then the file is also sent to the store owner's email address.
