What is Two Tap?
Two Tap is a new, simplified method for subscribing to SMS, allowing users to quickly and intuitively sign up. You can activate this feature by adding the SMS Subscription element in the Pop Up Creator. With Two Tap, the user only needs two steps:
Click the button in the Pop Up or scan the QR code.
Confirm the sending of a predefined SMS message, which automatically adds the user to the subscriber database.
This way, users can quickly and conveniently subscribe to SMS without having to manually enter their phone number.
How to add the Two Tap element in a Pop Up?
It's simple! Go to the Onsite tab -> Pop Up
Add a new Pop Up or edit an existing one.
In the Design tab, click Add element -> SMS Subscription.
How does it work step by step?
On mobile devices:
The user sees the sign-up button.
After clicking, the user is redirected to the SMS app on their phone, where a pre-written message to be sent appears.
The user just needs to click "Send" – and the subscription is activated.
On desktop devices:
The user scans a QR code using their phone.
After scanning, the SMS app on the user's phone opens, and a pre-written message to be sent appears.
The process is identical to mobile devices – the user just needs to click "Send" to activate the subscription.
Why is this solution particularly important?
Two Tap is primarily optimized for mobile device users, who make up the majority in e-commerce and online communication. The mobility and ease of use contribute to increased subscriber acquisition effectiveness, eliminating the need to manually enter a phone number.
Additionally, the desktop solution (QR code) is a great complement, enabling sign-up for users browsing on computers as well.
Key advantages of the solution:
Simplicity: No need to manually enter a phone number.
Speed: The entire process takes only a few seconds.
Security and compliance: The user sends the SMS themselves, which serves as confirmation of consent (double opt-in).
Where can Two Tap be used?
Two Tap is available across various communication channels:
Marketing emails: You can add a ready-made component to the email builder, enabling quick subscription sign-up. You can find more about the Two Tap functionality in emails here.
Pop-ups: Pop-ups encouraging quick sign-up via SMS, available on both mobile and desktop devices.
In both cases, the user is immediately redirected to the SMS application or QR code scanning, allowing for a quick completion of the subscription process.
