In edrone, there are three possible subscription statuses:

  • SUBSCRIBED: Users who are subscribed to your mailing list.

  • UNSUBSCRIBED: Users who were subscribed to your mailing list, but chose to unsubscribe.

  • UNKNOWN: Users who informed their email addresses (e.g. creating an account or making a purchase) but are not subscribed to your mailing list.

Most of the time, this will be updated automatically. For example, a user with status UNKNOWN will be automatically assigned as SUBSCRIBED after confirming their subscription (e. g. Double Opt-in).

However, sometimes you might need to manually update the subscription status of one or multiple subscribers.

Let's go over both possibilities!

How to change the subscription status of a specific customer

This is a very simple process. First, go to the Customer Profile of the user in question – you can find it by searching their email or phone number on the CRM section:

Inside their Customer Profile, you will find the Subscription section:

You can manually change subscription status (Subscribed or Unsubscribed) for Email and SMS messages. It is not possible to change a customer to UNKNOWN status.
